Koshir
Whether you were introduced to Koshir through his music ten plus years ago, or more recently stumbled across him through his art, Koshir has a unique style that is forever evolving and extremely hard to match! Just when you think you have him figured out he hits you with another curve ball.
On Oct, 5th 2010 Koshir released his debut album "White Girl Diaries" with Wapikiya Records/Universal Music Group. Since that time he has went on to release two albums, 3 mixtapes, and record/perform along side some of the biggest independent hip hop artists including Tech N9ne, Kxng Crooked (FKA Crooked I), Mistah Fab, and many others.
Koshir is currently serving a federal prison sentence of 11 years and 7 months for a home invasion he was involved in back in March 2019. Since he's been incarcerated, Koshir has spent countless hours developing his art. He has sold a number of pieces in the U.S., as well as Canada, has had artwork published in Thrasher Skateboard magazine, and just recently put his first NFT collection up for sale on Opensea.
Still actively writing and rehearsing lyrics, he made a point to say, "The music never stops. I'll be back when it is time." For now, recording and performing have taken a back seat for obvious reasons. The Koshir you're reading about today is very different from the Koshir some of you may have know from the past when he was just making music, touring, throwing parties, and always on some kind of drug or drink. Today he spends his time working, studying, working out, reading, writing, drawing, and actively finding ways to better himself both mind and body.
The majority of Koshir's artwork is created in a ball point pen medium. He does however use color pencils and gel pens if it is requested. The options seem to be limitless for Koshir despite being locked up and he's excited about the future. Sometimes life can be tough in ways we'd never expect, but Koshir is excelling through adversity and is determined to bounce back in a MAJOR way!
